Do Less to Get More in Your Relationships this Year

By John Certalic on January 1, 2020 0

One of the core principles of our You Were Made for This podcast is that the secret sauce to finding joy in our relationships is to do less, not more. I touched on this in our very first episode back on November 28, 2018.

Doing less also makes for a good New Year’s resolution. Doing less of what hinders our relationships creates space to do more of what truly enhances them.

May we resolve in 2020 to do far less of the things that get in the way of the joy-filled relationships we were made for.

What does this look like for you?

Chick-fil-A gets it. They’re promoting this relational wisdom in a recent ad.

I’ll be talking more about this concept in the first episode of Season Three of the podcast, starting up on January 22.

Because of Bethlehem,

John

P.S. A listener in South Carolina recently wrote to me about a recommendation made several weeks ago in episode 46 of the podcast. It was to get Emily P. Freeman’s audio Advent devotional, “The Quiet Collection.”

I just listened to day 6 of the “Quiet Collection.” I might have to use it all year, it is so good! I love it! You were right. It is totally worth listening to. I cry every time. Which means what she is saying is what I needed to hear.
